Hoot

Hoot is about a boy named Roy Everhart who is starting a new school in coconut cove and sees a boy running who doesn't go to their school that is when Roy gets curious to find out more

My favourite character is Beatrice because even though she is a girl she can hold her own and beats up the boys

My least favourite character is Dana because he is always up to no good and always picks on Roy and never keeps his mouth shut

My favourite part of the book is when Beatrice beats up Dana because it was really funny

The message was to always care about the environment and stand up for what you think is right

I would rate it 8/10 because it a bit boring in some parts

We have started a thirty day book challenge

This is were we wrap up books and chose them by a
few words written on the wrapper covering the book so we couldn't
judge a book by its cover this is good because we don't know what book
we will get until we open them I got unearthly which by the first few pages is a really good book
in my perceptive and I cant wait until I get into the book more

Kodu Experience

Today our class was introduced to Kodu an app were you can make
different games on it in the time we had I got to make different spaces of land
and just had a play around on it until we got used to it it was a bit frustrating at the
start but we got the hang of it.

Last week with half of the school down at Devon Puarenga 
decided to have a tabloids sports day and set up for the whole school
so this is what happened.

Day 1 = With all of the Devon people gone the teachers decided to have a school tabloids day with Puarenga setting it up first of all we had speeches for the manager of the whole thing the teachers decided it would be better if one of the students did it Tanner and I ran for it Tanner was deputy and I was the event manager which was really cool and exciting we got our 4 groups together and planned out what we were doing

Day 2 = With all our groups planned out we started setting up gear to prepare for tabloids and test it out with the activity group it was great fun setting up the activity's and headed to our normal classes to do some work for the afternoon

Day 3 = Today was the day for tabloids setting up and playing the activity's there was a bit of confusion but faded away as the games started everything was lots of fun and we were all very pumped up and it was an overall fun day!

  











                                                             

Book Club

Tomorrow when the war began is the new book I'm reading for our book club.It is about a group of friends that go on a camping trip and come back and all their family's are missing then they realise that they are in the middle of an invasion I chose it because it seems interesting and its action and probably a cliff hanger 

I think that when they go on their camping trip they come back after hearing unusual noises and see that their family's are missing and then start finding out they are in an invasion and decide to fight. 

Among the hidden

We starting reading among the hidden and finished so I think that the next book luke goes to school and meets more shadow children at his school he goes to  \

End Of Genius hour 

Our genius hour = We decided to do the hunger games as we love to watch and read the books and movies.We split into four parts Reaping,Tribute parade,Interveiws and lastly the games I and my fellow students think of this as a P.E game as you run around a lot!

Favourite Part = I think my favourite part was when we had our dress rehersal we got to see our models in their dresses and we had a bit of a laugh while doing it.

Process = We started drawing up our plan for it then we decided where to hide our wepons and inmunitys then we decided on our models for our Tribute parade then we decided to do the games.

Result = We havent done most of our genius hour but we did our reaping and it turned out great!

Sucessful = Well our reaping was sucessful so I bet our actual games will be amazing!

Next Time = Nothing I think it was perfect.

If you could do something else? = Divergent totaly we have been reading it so it would be a great idea

Family food And Fun fair

On Thursday we had our Family food and fun fair Estelle Sacha Maya Tegan and I did pop prize you have to throw a dart at a ballon and if you pop it you get a prize it was very fun! We went through the haunted house with friends took selfies and ate chips it was awesome I had a great time with all our friends>

My name is Alexa  I'm 12  if you don't know me I'm in the P3 Year 8 digital class for 2014 at Mokoia intermediate. I love to Hang out with my friends camp go to school eat! and swim. I have dozens of friends here and they are amaze balls! I live with my mum dad and brother and our many animals that I love with all my heart we love working and going to the beach in our caravan for Christmas. I am really happy to be in the class with all my friends. Hope to post more after camp getting excited!!!   

Science and Music

We did science and Maths this week for science. We mixed red bull with milk and then mixed food colouring with milk and added dish washing liquid. For maths we made towers from mash mellows and pasta sticks and we made the longest toilet paper line.
